Equal Rights Amendment

Democrats have been attempting to obtain the vote from North Carolina to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. The Equal Rights Amendment will allow all genders to receive the came rights without discrimination. So far, in the United States thirty seven states have ratified the amendment and are continuing to try and get more votes from others state to complete the ratification. In 1977, North Carolina approved the Equal Rights Amendment but it had fell two votes short according to the New Observer. North Carolina officials believe that North Carolina can make history by ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment. Thirty-eights states so far have approved of the Equal Rights Amendment. Given that it is not directly stated in the constitution that women are allowed to do the same things as men; the Equal Rights Amendment can be what directly gives women the voice they have fought centuries to have.
